Women’s Community Education Series – “An Introduction to Infertility” 

Date: Tuesday, July 18, 2017

Location: Florida Hospital for Women, 1st Floor / Orlando, Florida

Presenter: George Patounakis, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.O.G.

Description of Event: Dr. George Patounakis will be covering the basics of infertility and how it affects about 10% of all couples. Infertility affects both men and women and it is usually identified when a couple has attempted to become pregnant after one year of regular, unprotected intercourse. The fertility process for both men and women is complex but learning the basics with Dr. Patounakis is a good head start to dealing with infertility.

Women’s Symposium: Navigating the Future of Women’s Health – “Advances in Infertility Treatment & Fertility Preservation”

Description of Event: Dr. George Patounakis will be discussing several topics relating to the advancements in reproductive medicine and how they will continue to improve in the future. Some of the topics that will be covered will be: egg, embryo, and sperm freezing (Fertility Preservation) and he will also discuss other health related topics specifically for women. New advancements in research and technology have allowed the RMA network to continually improve the safety of fertility care -so what’s to come in the world of infertility treatment?
