Refund Programs

Infertility treatment can be a difficult road for many hopeful parents, and RMA-FL is dedicated to patient success and innovative applications of reproductive medicine. The core of the RMA-FL CareShare program is to ease the financial stress and worry facing many of our patients. Our proven fertility treatment has generated IVF success rates that have consistently eclipsed the US average for over a decade, but not every patient experiences fertility treatment success in the same way.

Ultimately, the goal of our CareShare program is to provide hopeful parents with reassurance and the financial resources to pursue alternative fertility treatments should our solutions prove unsuccessful. CareShare is built on the paradigm of our award-winning treatment program, and our IVF refund program shows our patients that although we consistently pursue success in every infertility case we take, we are willing to share in the risk of failure facing every one of our patients.

In addition to our CareShare fertility care refund program, we are also pleased to announce a medication refund package offered through Schraft’s 2.0 Pharmacy. Schraft’s is one of the leading fertility pharmacies in the U.S., and is now offering Reproductive Medicine Associate of Florida (RMA-FL) patients a 100% refund program on all medications.  If the enrolled CareShare patient is not successful after allowed cycles have been exhausted, 100% of the medications cost will be refunded through Schraft’s.

  1. Program Cost

The CareShare Program costs $32,000 and covers up to six stimulated IVF cycles and the use of Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) with the goal of achieving one healthy delivery. This price also includes Comprehensive Chromosome Screening (CCS). All eligible patients have 18 months from the date of the first cycle to complete all the possible cycles offered by the CareShare program. The program is considered closed once a live birth is achieved and a birth certificate is issued. At this point, patient benefit is considered exhausted. It’s vital to recognize that patients who achieve a live birth on the first attempt will have paid more than a traditional cycle with “pay as you go” billing.

  1. Included Services
  • Up to six IVF procedures.
  • FET as available.
  • ICSI
  • Embryo biopsy.
  • Embryo cryopreservation for the first 18 months.
  • CCS services.
  • Cycle monitoring.
  1. Inclusion Guidelines

Your primary RMA-FL physician will work with you to determine your eligibility. Eligibility is based on various criteria, and the CareShare program offers very generous patient inclusion criteria that stands apart from most other financial programs. This includes:

  • FSH < 12
  • AMH > 1.0 ng/mL
  • Normal uterine cavity and lining.
  • No more than one previously failed IVF cycle.
  • Ability to complete six cycles before reaching 41 years of age.
  1. Waiver of Insurance Coverage

After enrolling in the CareShare program, you must waive insurance coverage for any services provided in your CareShare package. While this may sound daunting, the good news is that prior to enrollment you may be able to use your fertility benefit and the coverage provided by your insurance carrier. In some cases, this can include an initial physician consultation, full infertility work-up, and medications. Check with your medical insurance carrier to find out if your plan covers IVF treatment.

  1. IVF Program Refund

Prior to a successful live birth, if a patient or RMA-FL opts to discontinue the CareShare program, enrollees may receive a full or partial refund. Some of the reasons to discontinue treatment can include:

  • Patient elects to end treatment for any reason and does not have any viable embryos stored at RMA-FL. This will result in a 50% refund of fees paid to RMA-FL.
  • If RMA-FL elects to terminate patient’s participation in the program, the patient will receive a full 100% refund of the paid fee.
  • If a patient elects to stop treatment for any reason but has viable embryos stored at RMA-FL, the patient will not receive a refund.

Your infertility treatment may entail some additional expenses not included in the refund guarantee. Patients sometimes incur expenses for outside services, programs, or medications.
